Dear Mustang Families,
Please forward this message to your child’s email.
On Tuesday, February 24, your child’s first semester report card will be available in MyCBE (CBE Kindergarten–Grade 9 Report Cards). If you would like a printed copy, please have your child come to the front office and we will print one for you. Ms. Billeck has also organized for IPPs to be distributed on the same day.
Staffing Update
Welcome back to Ms. Armstrong and Ms. Howe, who have returned from leave. We extend our gratitude to Ms. Layton and Ms. Kauffman for providing transitional support during their absence.
A special thank you to Ms. Zakus, Ms. Hopley, and Ms. McLellan for facilitating popular learning sessions for CBE and Calgary Catholic teachers at the recent Teachers’ Convention. It is inspiring to see SJAM teachers recognized as instructional leaders in Calgary while supporting our Grade 8 SMATH and Grade 9 HUM professional learning communities.
Student Leadership and Online Safety
We continue to harness student leadership to generate a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning community. Great schools are built by great students. By empowering every student, we create a vibrant and safe space for learning.
Last week, Paul Davis visited SJAM to present engaging and impactful information on online safety. His message resonated with students and encouraged meaningful conversations both at school and at home. His presentation empowered students to take ownership of their digital behaviour and make safer, more responsible choices online.
During this week’s well-being homeroom, students will discuss actions they can take to improve their digital lives.
If you were unable to attend the parent presentation, you may follow Paul Davis on social media:

Band Concert
A shout out to our Band Students for generating a magical night of music this past Thursday. With the ‘Heros, Legends and Epic Journeys’ theme, families proudly heard their children come together to perform recognizable melodies. Ms. Armstrong’s program was in excellent hands with Ms. Layton’s blend of high-level musical proficiency, patient communication, and deep passion, fostering technical skill and artistic enjoyment for your children.
